The Scholarship Committee considered several qualified and worthy applicants and is pleased to announce this year's recipient is Ms. Colleen Draper!
Colleen is an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and is an honor student at Cab Calloway School of the Arts. She will be attending Goldey Beacom College in the fall, studying Business.
In addition to her academic success, her accomplishments and community volunteering activities include:
- Holy Family VBS. A leader and helper of the building and setup of the VBS set and responsible for kids from 8th grade to 12th grade.
- Matt 25. A youth leader and in charge and responsible for 6 kids aging from 12-16 years old.
- Parish dinners. Assisted in service at both public and private parish dinners.
- UD Sporting Events. Colleen has volunteerd at University of Delaware sporting events with concessions for fundraising. She worked as a "runner" of food and also assisted as a cashier.
- Holy Family Summerfest. She volunteers at the annual Summerfest, working in the Face Painting tent, applying designs to both children and adults.
- Service Trips to Camden, NJ. Colleen was the leader of a group of youths tasked with serving meals to the needy, cleaing empty plots and helping the DeSales service.

The Newark AOH Scholarship has been renamed the James P. Brennan Scholarship in honor of a deceased member of the division.
