Scholarship Overview

Each year Newark AOH Division II presents the James P. Brennan Memorial College Scholarship program which is named in honor of one of the Division's founding members and most ardent supporters. This is a yearly academic scholarship awarded to one or more rising seniors who or their family is registered and actively engaged parishioner at any one of the five following parishes in the greater Newark, DE area that the Division directly supports:

Scholarship Details


The recipient(s) must intend to and subsequently matriculate in that award year's Fall Semester to a two- or four-year accredited college or university degree program. The Division will award at least one scholarship of $1,000.00 and will look to make other awards of smaller amounts to additional worthy candidate(s). Payments are made directly to the recipient(s) institution and made at the beginning of each semester. Payments are not made for special or shortened semesters.

 

The selection(s) will be made with consideration being given to your academic performance, participation in church and/or community service, and extracurricular activities. No one specific criterion will be weighted more significantly than another.
